The past thirty years have witnessed an immense increase in self-organized academy programs and schools in the arts. Artistic practice is now often labelled »knowledge production« and exhibitions no longer show art objects, but instead enable processes of gathering and learning.

Der Vortrag widmet sich den unterschiedlichen Museumskonzepten und den Konflikten rund um die Gründung des heute als Weltmuseum Wien bekannten Hauses.
Lisa Wieder arbeitet sowohl installativ als auch in verschiedenen druckgrafischen Medien. Im Rahmen der Ausstellung _scapes zeigt sie Einblicke in ihr Schaffen. Ihre Arbeit ist geprägt vom Interesse an Erinnerungen, Natur, Raum und fragmentarischen Motiven, Bildsprache und Formen sind verschiedenen Kontexten entlehnt.

The ifk Summer Academy 2024 will take place in Brijuni, Croatia from 2 – 11 September 2024. It will approach the topic of non-aligned movements from (1) a historical and political perspective by sounding out the decolonial non-aligned movement of the postwar period and (2) by reflecting on non- alignment as artistic and epistemic strategy.

The event series »Culture in diplomacy, Diplomacy in culture and society« at the Diplomatische Akademie Wien brings together the perspectives of a broad range of actors and students discussing the relations between culture and diplomacy.
