Katharina Weinberger-Lootsma Agieren in Atmosphären: künstlerisch, konkret - Nikolaus Gansterer und Katharina Weinberger-Lootsma 


Nikolaus Gansterer is an artist and researcher based in Vienna. He studied art at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and completed his studies at the Jan van Eyck Academy at Maastricht in The Netherlands. He is co-founder of the Institute for Transacoustic Research and board member of the Applied Performance Laboratory in Vienna. Since 2007 he is teaching at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna where he was the first Guest Professor for the Artistic Research programme in 2016/17. He is author of the book Drawing a Hypothesis on the ontology of diagrammatic figurations and its use in contemporary art and science. From 2014-2018 he was PI of the artistic research project Choreo-graphic Figures developing innovative systems of notation between drawing, writing and choreography. Currently 2019-2023 he is PI of the artistic project Contingent Agencies for experimental diagramming of atmospheres and environments. He is internationally active in performances, exhibitions and lecturing. Katharina Weinberger-Lootsma ist Senior Scientist, war stellvertretende Senatsvorsitzende und leitet seit 2018 die kulturtankstelle der Kunstuniversität Linz. Ihr Studium der Kunstgeschichte absolvierte sie an der Universität Innsbruck, wo sie bis 2016 am Institut für Architekturtheorie und Baugeschichte lehrte und »architekturtheorie.eu« gemeinsam mit Bart Lootsma gründete. Neben ihren wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeiten war sie an verschiedenen kuratorischen Projekten beteiligt, z. B. 2004–2017 Kuratorin der Kunstsammlung der Tiroler Sparkasse, 2003–2005 bei der internationalen Wanderausstellung »austria west«, 2008 beim Stadtentwicklungsprojekt »Linz Status Quo« im Auftrag von Linz 09, 2016 Co-Kuratorin des montenegrinischen Pavillon’s der Architekturbiennale in Venedig und des internationalen Projekts 2021 »NOW«. Seit 2020 kuratiert sie die Serie »Stories of Critical Change«.
